APC Replaces Uzodimma With Masari As Convention Chairman

the All Progressives Congress (APC) has indeed replaced Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma with former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari as the Chairman of the National Convention Central Coordination Committee.

Changes to the Convention Committee​The party leadership described the move as a “reconstitution” following further consultations with national stakeholders.​Chairman: Aminu Bello Masari (Former Governor of Katsina State).​Reassignment: Hope Uzodimma was not removed from the committee entirely but has been reassigned to serve as the Treasurer.​Vice Chairmen: * Anyim Pius Anyim (Former Senate President) was named Vice Chairman I.​AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara State Governor) was named Vice Chairman II.​Secretary: Mai Mala Buni (Yobe State Governor) was retained as the committee’s Secretary.​Expansion: The committee’s membership was increased from 73 to 90 to accommodate more stakeholders.

Convention Dates​The party has also released a revised schedule leading up to the National Convention:​Ward Congresses: February 18, 2026.​Local Government Congresses: February 21, 2026.​State Congresses: March 3, 2026.​Zonal Congresses: March 25, 2026.​National Convention: Scheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026, where new members of the National Working Committee (NWC) will be elected.​Fun Fact: The party has pegged the cost of the National Chairmanship form at ₦10 million, while expression of interest forms for all national offices are ₦100,000.
