The Casualties​Deceased: 10 people in total have died, including the suspect. ​6 people were found dead inside Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. ​1 person died while being transported to the hospital. ​2 people were found dead at a nearby residence believed to be connected to the school shooting. ​The Suspect was found dead inside the school from a self-inflicted injury. ​Injured: At least 25 to 27 people are injured. Two individuals were airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, while most others are being treated for non-life-threatening wounds

The Suspect: Police issued an emergency alert during the event describing the suspect as a woman with brown hair wearing a dress. While they believe they have identified her, her name and age have not yet been released to the public. ​The Timeline: The incident began around 1:20 p.m. local time on Tuesday, February 10. A “shelter-in-place” order was issued for the town of 2,400 residents and was lifted approximately four hours later once police confirmed there was no further threat. ​Motive: Authorities stated it is too early to determine a motive.
