Tinubu’s Northern Projects Can Be Verified, Says APC Chieftain
“Tinubu’s Northern Projects Can Be Verified, Not Just Noise!” — APC Chieftain Fires Back at Critics
By Naija Tunes Hub | Politics & Trends
Things are heating up on the political desk! Following heavy criticism from opposition figures regarding the Federal Government’s footprint in the North, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso (and Executive Director of Finance at the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority) has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s infrastructure projects across Northern Nigeria are 100% visible, tangible, and open for verification.
Speaking with journalists in Kano, Kwankwaso dismissed claims by opposition politicians—including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi—that the current administration is neglecting the Northern region.
“Every day they are busy criticizing President Tinubu, whose projects across the country, and specifically in the North, can be clearly seen,” Kwankwaso stated. “These are projects that can be touched and seen, not mere baseless opposition.”
The Big Numbers & Key Projects Highlighted
To back up the claim that the North is getting its fair share under the Renewed Hope Agenda, APC chieftains and party stakeholders have pointed to several ongoing multi-billion and trillion-naira infrastructure, energy, and transportation initiatives:
- The Kano–Kongolom Road: A massive ₦334 billion, 132-kilometre dual carriageway designed to link Kano, Jigawa, and Katsina states.
- Kano–Kaduna Rail Line: A $1.2 billion railway project aimed at modernizing transport and boosting commerce across the region.
- Major Highway Upgrades: Over 1,400 km of road construction valued at over ₦7.21 trillion, including the concrete pavement reconstruction of the Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Highway, the Zaria–Funtua–Gusau–Sokoto Road, and the dualisation of the Kano–Katsina Road.
- Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway: The ambitious 1,068 km six-lane corridor designed to seamlessly bridge economic ties between the North and South.
- Energy & Power Boosts: The ongoing AKK (Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano) Gas Pipeline, the 1,350MW Gwagwalada Power Plant, and large-scale solar projects in Kaduna State.
In Kano State alone, over 30 federal projects are currently underway.
“2027 Votes Are Guaranteed”
With debate swelling around political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, APC leaders in the region—including Kano stakeholders and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani—remain confident that these physical interventions will speak for themselves when voters return to the ballot.
Kwankwaso urged Nigerians to ignore “political rhetoric and social media noise,” encouraging citizens to independently inspect and verify the physical progress being made on ground.
