The political atmosphere in Nigeria is hitting a boiling point as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Peter Obi, has raised a massive alarm over his safety.

In a shocking revelation that has sent shockwaves across social media, the former Anambra State Governor alleged that the Federal Government is actively frustrating his life, his businesses, and targeting opposition figures. He went as far as saying he might not even survive to see the 2027 general elections if things continue this way.

“The way the government is going now, I might not be alive. I’m telling you. Every single thing I do, this government is frustrating. Deliberately so. There’s even a possibility that, if they have the opportunity, I will not be alive.”

• The Airport Incident: Obi claimed security officials recently singled out his vehicle at an airport, locking it up while leaving other cars parked in the exact same spot completely untouched.
• The “Fear Factor”: He revealed that the intimidation has gotten so intense that long-time friends and business associates are now terrified to be seen with him. “I see people I know at the airport, but they won’t greet me anymore,” Obi lamented, adding that people are avoiding inviting him to family events out of fear of becoming targets of the government.

Atiku, Opposition Leaders React

The heavyweight allegations have triggered massive responses across the political landscape. Former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, immediately weighed in, sounding a stern warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC administration.

Atiku stated fiercely that “nothing must happen to Peter Obi,” warning that any threat to the opposition leader’s life is a direct threat to the survival of democracy in Nigeria.
