Nigerian State Agents In ADC’: Peter Obi Explains Exit From ADC

In a move that has sent ripples through the “Obidient” movement and beyond, Peter Obi has finally opened up about his brief stint and eventual exit from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). If you thought it was just a simple disagreement over manifests, think again—Obi says the “State” was involved.

According to Peter Obi, his decision to leave the ADC wasn’t about a lack of vision within the party, but rather a security risk. He revealed that the party had been heavily “infiltrated” by agents of the Nigerian state.

“I realized that the ADC had been compromised. There were agents of the state working within the party to ensure that the movement did not see the light of day,” Obi hinted during a recent engagement.

For many followers of Naija politics, this confirms the long-held suspicion that “the powers that be” often plant spoilers within opposition parties to destabilize them from the inside. Obi’s exit from the ADC to the Labour Party is now being seen not just as a political move, but as a tactical retreat to find “cleaner” ground.

  • The Courtship: Obi was initially linked to the ADC as a potential platform to contest the 2023 elections.
  • The Red Flag: Suspected “State Agents” began influencing party decisions, creating internal friction.
  • The Exit: Obi pulled out, citing the need for a platform that wasn’t being steered by external “Remote Controls.”
  • The LP Surge: He eventually landed in the Labour Party, turning a “small” party into a national powerhouse.

Is the Labour Party Safe?

The big question now on everyone’s lips is: If the ADC was infiltrated, what stops the same thing from happening to the Labour Party?

Obi seems confident that the mass movement behind him acts as a shield, but with the recent leadership tussles within the LP (looking at you, Abure and Apapa), some fans are wondering if the “State Agents” simply followed him to his new home.
