🛑 “DONT TOUCH THAT BILLBOARD!” – Police Read Riot Act to Politicians & Thugs Destroying Campaign Posters Ahead of 2027 🚔📜

Wazobia people, calm down, calm down! The political temperature in Nigeria is rising fast ahead of the 2027 general elections, but the police are making it clear that street lawlessness will NOT be tolerated! 🚨

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has officially issued a stern warning to political thugs, mischief-makers, and their high-ranking sponsors against tearing down, defacing, or destroying campaign posters, banners, and billboards of rival candidates across the country.

💥 What the Police Stated (Key Breakdown):

• No One Above the Law: Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu directed State Commissioners of Police across all 36 states and the FCT to arrest and prosecute anyone caught destroying campaign materials.
• Sponsors Will Pay: The Force made it clear that political bigwigs who sponsor, hire, or pay hoodlums to vandalize opposition billboards will face direct legal prosecution alongside the thugs they hire.
• It’s a Serious Criminal Offense: Tearing down posters isn’t just “street drama”—it is legally categorized as malicious damage and mischief under Section 451 of the Criminal Code Act and Section 326 of the Penal Code.
• Equal Protection for All Parties: The NPF reiterated that all political parties and candidates, regardless of status or political affiliation, are legally entitled to equal protection to present their messages to the public.
